I'm not anywhere near an expert on any of this as you can tell but I really wanted to transfer my .jpg files in an expeditious manner. If you have 98 se, probably need a driver of 98se. Please keep in mind that a working driver for the Smart Keys has yet to be found. As an added bonus, the Lexar provides a "wizard" type installation that works like a charm - no need to get into technicalities. It should not have been that hard to use a simple plug-in memory device. I tried using the WinXP driver. (Apparently XP uses .sys files, whereas older OSes use .inf files for drivers).
